Vozidlo bolo pomenovan\u00e9 FCX a bolo nasaden\u00fd na americk\u00fd a japonsk\u00fd trh. Honda dosiahla ve\u013ek\u00e9 technologick\u00e9 pokroky v prev\u00e1dzke palivov\u00fdch \u010dl\u00e1nkov v n\u00edzkych a vysok\u00fdch teplot\u00e1ch, splnila pr\u00edsne emisn\u00e9 normy a bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 predpisy od pr\u00edchodu prvej gener\u00e1cie vozidiel FCX. V roku 2008 bolo na americk\u00fd a japonsk\u00fd trh vypusten\u00e9 vozidlo FCX Clarity, ktor\u00e9 z\u00edskalo ocenenie\u00a0World Green Car roku 2009. Uhladene \u0161tylizovan\u00fd koncept Honda FCEV si odbil svoj debut na medzin\u00e1rodnom autosal\u00f3ne v Los Angeles. Koncept vyjadruje potenci\u00e1lny \u0161tylistick\u00fd smer bud\u00facej gener\u00e1cie vozidiel s palivov\u00fdmi \u010dl\u00e1nkami, ktor\u00e9 pr\u00eddu do USA a Japonska v roku 2015 a o nie\u010do nesk\u00f4r aj do Eur\u00f3py. Nasleduj\u00faca gener\u00e1cia vozidiel od Hondy bude ma\u0165 ako prv\u00e1 cel\u00e9 pohonn\u00e9 \u00fastrojenstvo umiesten\u00e9 v priestore teraj\u0161\u00edch spa\u013eovac\u00edch motorov.
