Zah\u0155\u0148a\u00a0 motory naftov\u00e9, so vstrekovan\u00edm Common Rail a benz\u00ednov\u00e9 s priamym vstrekovan\u00edm paliva. Ke\u010f\u017ee motory maj\u00fa ma\u0165 spolo\u010dn\u00fa architekt\u00faru, tak si ju pribl\u00ed\u017eme: spolo\u010dn\u00fd motorov\u00fd blok (&#8220;stredn\u00fd&#8221; obal motora je teda v\u0161ade rovnak\u00fd) so 4 otvormi v tvare valcov, \u010do bud\u00fa ma\u0165 spolo\u010dn\u00fd objem 2 litre.<br \/>\nTieto motory bud\u00fa dokonca u\u017e aj s akousi pr\u00edpravou pre pr\u00edpadn\u00e9 napojenie elektrick\u00fdmi motormi. Ale to len pre t\u00fdch, ktor\u00fd by chceli by\u0165 e\u0161te \u0161etrnej\u0161\u00ed ku \u017eivotn\u00e9mu prostrediu (popr\u00edpade pre t\u00fdch, ktor\u00fdm by nesta\u010dil v\u00fdkon &#8220;be\u017en\u00fdch&#8221; motorov). Volvo m\u00e1 pravdu, ka\u017ed\u00fd si n\u00e1jde to svoje. Tak by aspo\u0148 ka\u017ed\u00fd valec mal nastaven\u00fa svoju spr\u00e1vnu zmes paliva a vzduchu! Kompresor tla\u010d\u00ed vzduch do valcov u\u017e po na\u0161tartovan\u00ed motora a pri vy\u0161\u0161\u00edch ot\u00e1\u010dkach preber\u00e1 \u00falohu umel\u00e9ho d\u00fdchania turbod\u00fachadlo.
